About Cases

Loot boxes and gambling games

In public opinion, there is a fine line between sites that offer loot boxes with skins — where the probabilities of obtaining items are openly disclosed — and gambling platforms, such as roulette or sports betting houses. Our service does not qualify as gambling, as every purchase results in a functional product. Additionally, if you are an active CS2 player, you can use our service for free through the Daily Free Case feature.

Globally, countries like Belgium and the Netherlands have chosen to ban loot boxes, but most nations consider them a form of entertainment that should be regulated (mainly regarding access by minors), not banned.

Our stance on minors

Although many countries do not prohibit loot boxes for minors and PEGI does not classify games with this feature as +18, we have decided to restrict our service to adults only. We believe that opening cases should be a conscious choice, and Counter-Strike itself is classified as +18 by PEGI. To ensure this:

  • We inform users before registration that the service is exclusive for adults.
  • We require marketing partners to classify materials as +18.
  • We refuse partnerships with creators whose audience is predominantly minors (including channels focused on Roblox or Minecraft).
  • We monitor accounts on social media and the website, analyzing factors such as communication style, linked accounts (e.g., Discord, YouTube), and suspicions of inappropriate age. Accounts identified as minors are immediately blocked.

Transparency is key

We act with fair play:

  • The probabilities of cases are fully transparent.
  • The opening animation accurately reflects the real chances.
  • All results are verifiable through the Provably Fair system, which we are improving to make it more accessible to the average user.

Meanwhile, many competitors have not yet adopted similar solutions — not even in games like Counter-Strike or FIFA.

We are not the first

Surprise boxes have been part of culture for decades, such as:

  • Trading Card Games (Pokémon, football stickers).
  • Gashapon (toy capsules in vending machines).
  • Surprise Bags and candies with mystery gifts.
  • Themed box subscriptions (candies, gadgets).

Everything in excess is poison

When finding a desired gift in a chocolate egg, our brain releases dopamine, generating pleasure — a mechanism similar to victories in games or consumption of tasty foods. However, the risk of addiction exists. Therefore:

  • We offer the option to temporarily block the account at the user's request.
  • The block is irreversible (not even the csgo-skin.org team can reverse it).

Building a better future

We are open to discussing the regulation of the loot box market and adapting our service to local laws. Our goal is to combat platforms that deceive users and tarnish the industry's reputation.
